This movie "Vampires: The Turning" isn't even really worth the 2 out of 10 I'm giving it. The movie, is very predictable from beginning, up to the very end when our hero kills the leader of the Vampire Slayers. The use of music in this movie was even bad, it kept playing as if you were to expect something significant to happen at any second, though it never did. The acting, was B-Rank at best... And the movie was just, dull. The only reason I give this movie a 2 out of 10 is because the story, had potential though it ended up unable to deliver. Oh, and did I mention the wardrobe? The wardrobe for this movie was obviously cheap to "non-existent" because our hero, and his girlfriend (whom he's trying to save throughout the entire movie) wear the same outfits through the entire movie. I'd suggest this film only if your really bored, and don't have a good wall with fresh paint to watch dry. ~Dave, the Horror Cowboy

When i hired this movie i thought that this movie would be the worst horror/Vanmpire movie ever made but then i watched it and it turned out to be so dam good and the best Vampire movie since Blade Trinity and the best Vampire movie of 2005.And i can not understand why this movie is rated so low on this web site it is rated 3.7 and it is NOT a 3.7 it is at least a 6 out of 10.There are some good gore scenes in this movie with a lot of blood and the special effects are mostly good but some times they get a bit crap and there are some really great martial arts scenes in this movie.Over all this movie is good and if u liked the martial arts in this movie u should watch the great movie Ong Bak and my rating for this movie is 6 out of 10.

*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*"Vampires: the Turning" is a very generic B-movie. Everything one would expect from a kung fu vampire flick is here. No surprises, just the usual. So a kickboxer breaks up with his girlfriend in Thailand. The vampires swoop down on her and take her away. This upsets the kickboxer. Soon he will meet up with some good vamps and try to wage war against the motorcycle driving bad guys. Some vampire hunters show up as well to complicate the thin plot further. It all ends with a generic fight to the death.First off, why is this guy risking his life for a girl that doesn't love him? She breaks up with him in the middle of a bloody kickboxing match. How cruel is that? It's clear that she is not the girl for him yet he insists on risking his soul to save her. It doesn't make sense. At any rate, all of the fight scenes are ho hum and not that bloody. This movie has almost no connection to the other "Vampires" flicks other than a brief hunting scene where they drag one vamp out into the sunlight via car pulley. The movie putters along with one lame fight scene after another until it finally ends. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled by this one. 3/10.

Throughout the history of Vampires and movies, there has always been an unspoken sensual, sexual tension that earlier movies could not, and more recent movies failed to really explore. This movie finally captures the true potential of that story line without at all being pornographic. In this Story line, Vampires seek out people they are attracted to, they bite them and take them back to their layer. They continue to keep them and drain them of blood until the person gives in and offers themselves to the vampire for sexual gratification. It is the sexual act itself that turns the victim into the vampire. In this movie, the vampires have a seductive quality that other Vampire flicks have eluded to. But here you see the struggle of the victims who are torn by their unexplained sexual desire to give in to the vampire and the resistance to becoming one themselves. If the victim continues to resist, eventually they are drained of blood and die. However, if they give in to the vampire and have sex with him/her, they are granted eternal life. That aside, it was an excellent film combining martial arts special effects with the Vampire story line. It was well acted and I enjoyed it.
