I had never expected this from Salman Khan. After watching Ready, I had never thought that he would make such a disappointing film. A big disappointment overall! In other words, "Bodyguard" has no Bodyguard for the film and due to it the film got ruined.I have a belief that action movies never fail to entertain , but this myth was broken after I watched this film. I will not say anything more as I have already described what the film it is- a mindless entertainer with nonsense comedy and a few good action scenes. At least, there would have been a few jokes and focus on the story, but however even the junked story does not work well at all.Neither Salman nor his body made it a film. This film can't be compared to his previous blockbusters as this is not even a film. The worst film of the year!

"Bodyguard" was the highest grossing Bollywood flick from the year 2011 and has been especially popular for its songs and action. For me it was more a love story laden in a familiar premise of family feud which is much contrived with some of the most unbelievable stunts. The story is quite predictable and the viewers are kind of ready for the end. But a curiosity of how the story would end makes this film quite fascinating. A nice pace, the way the film has been pictuarized, its technical aspects, and few songs also make it gripping despite a very ordinary story in has in its crux. Much of the storytelling is lost in the comedy in the beginning which I feel has been overdone and is also crude. Similarly, the action sequences with cardboard characters are also unrealistic which gives a tart feel to the film. In these sequences it was a pain to watch the movie. Overall, the gimmicks in the film made it famous among the masses, but the film is worth watching for the simple story which has been attempted to be presented with a slight twist. (Remove the story and songs, the film is not more than a crap burrowed from few successful movies) Rating: 1 star out of 4

Bodyguard directed by Siddique is average. The movie is better than Salman 's previous movie READY but not as good as DABANGG or WANTED.The movie starts off well, has an absorbing middle and an lengthy ending, which makes you bored.Story:-Lovely Singh(Salman Khan),is a bodyguard. And now he has been appointed to guard Divya(Kareena Kapoor),the daughter of Sartaj Rana(Raj Babbar),the king of a town Jaisingpur.the mafia brothers Ranjan Mhatre(Mahesh Manjrekar) and Vikrant Mhatre(Aditya Pancholi) seek revenge against Lovely Singh since he killed one of their men. While Divya wants to get rid of Lovely, she plans to have a fake-affair with him through a phone. In the mean-time of the fake-affair,she gets to know his real-identity and then falls in love with him.The storyline is okay. The writing is half-baked.The first half is entertaining, while the second hour is jarring. The music is alright with the title track,Teri Meri and Desi Beat being icing on the cake.I Love You is slow but sweet. The action sequences are like those South-Indian movies where the hero will fly in the air, jump over the trains and punch him twice-thrice.Salman Khan is the star of the show.No doubts!Be his dialog delivery or his stunt performance. He wins your heart.Really,he is the King of Masses. Kareena Kapoor acts okay.Raj Babbar is fine.Aditya Pancholi is excellent.Mahesh Manjrekar repeats his usual act.Hazel Keech is good.Rajat Rawail as Tsunami is funny. Katrina Kaif looks amazing in the tittle track. All in all,Bodyguard is for Salman fans! The fans who worship him!

This movie which i have seen so far might be the best movie of the year as i have not seen that much movies barring NOKJ,Aarakshan.I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to end.Initially when i saw all the promos of this movie i thought it might be an action film but it turned out to be more of a romanctic movie.I liked the story it seemed it very different at least towards the end from the usual love storys and thats a good thing.Even the comedy in this movie was very nice too.The music is very nice with the best ones being Teri Meri and I love you.The direction was very good too and the scenes were well executed. The acting was top notch.Salman gave a brilliant performance throughout the movie and in my opinion deserves the best actor award and i really believe that given a chance and also a good director he really can give more great performances like this one.Kareena has given a blazing powerhouse performance as Divya she has a very meaty role and despite Salman having the author backed role i think she really outshined him in a couple of scenes and i also thought she was very cute when she was acting as Chaaya .And the actress who plays Maya was also amazing inspite her role was a supporting one and i think she should win a lot of awards for this one.The little kid who played Salman son was quite convincing especially in the scene where he asks Kareena to be his mother. The action and stunt scenes were magnificent but got boring after a while.I also thought after the Desi Beats song in the second half i thought the movie had started to became more intense and interesting.Anyhow this movie definitely deserves to be watched.
