I'm not a big fan of zombie films (I much prefer slasher, gore and demonic possession type films), so maybe that has something to do with why I didn't enjoy it; that said, nothing really seemed to happen in the film. I wasn't entirely sure of what was going on - possibly down to bad writing and poor planning. The acting was mostly terrible; the only thing I really enjoyed was watching a fellow Welsmhman acting, but that enjoyment was more to do with the novelty factor of association rather than being a positive point in the film. Considering that it's a zombie film, there was a seemingly distinct lack of zombies. The film should have been called 'The Diaries' or 'The Zombie Diaries With Not Many Zombies' (well you get the point). The film didn't frighten me, it didn't engage me, I couldn't warm to the characters (apart from that mentioned above), the acting wasn't great and there wasn't much tension or suspense at all. Luckily I didn't buy the film; it was shown on the horror channel as part of their evolution of the zombie film series. I'm surprised I watched it all the way to the end; but unfortunately the ending opens up more questions than it answers - to be honest that doesn't really come as much of a surprise, given that I didn't fully know what was going on anyway. I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch this, even those who are zombie film enthusiasts.

When I read the description on the back of the movie, it sounded like I would be watching a WWZ-inspired series of interviews, or a news crew following some military forces. Instead, what I ended up with was a confusing and bland set of boring characters in a frankly underwhelming disaster. The most important things I noticed: 1. The film gives you no reason whatsoever to care about any of the characters. None of them are portrayed as anything other than arguing meatbags. 2. I really have no idea why they make a big deal about these zombies, or why there was an outbreak, since they seem to spend most of the movie standing in one spot waiting for their cue to collapse from a gunshot. 3. The movie didn't even use blanks for the film. The gunshots were added in after the shooting, leaving you with quite boring gunfire that didn't even feel like they were killing anything at all. I even heard the pistol sound effect from Killing Floor used for their handgun! The movie ends abruptly and with little to no real impact, so I guess it stayed pretty level for the whole film. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew what it was, and I wouldn't recommend anything more than a day rent.

It's a shame I did't see the bad reviews here before watching this stinker. I only saw good reviews. Here's another bad one.OK, where do I start with how bad this movie is. OK, the world is full of zombies. They come out at night. What would you do when night time comes. Answer: Hide in a house and fortify it. What do these egg heads do? They go out at night with very little light and surprise, surprise, run into a bunch of zombies. Jeesh. For crying out loud. How stupid do these people have to be? Next. If you have a gun, where do you shoot the zombies. Answer: In the head. Here, they are not shot in the head. Even worse, there is no bullet hole / wound. It's like they couldn't afford to pay SFX guys.Acting - horrible and dull. Story line - ditto. Zombies: more of the same - dull and boring.Do yourself a favour and save yourself from total boredom and see any of the classic zombie movies because this one is a stinker.

Let me just save you some time if you picked this movie up thinking that the pictures and praises littering the case made it look like it was worth watching. Not only was it not anywhere near a, "Powerhouse of a movie." It also didn't contain any of the scenes depicted on the front. I LOVE zombie movies. And I've seen a few that were worse than this one, but honestly, this is a snooze-fest with the slowest, dumbest zombies on the planet that still somehow managing to infect people. If you wanna see a documentary style zombie film that's at least partially worth your time, go check out Quarantine. I found it to be MUCH better.
