Yes, this is the real psychological thriller. No, this is not a slasher type or a haunted horror movie, but definitely will thrill out to the spine. . The story is simple, looks modest, not visually fancy, but it's a mind-blowing! Every part is at its portion. Not too much, yet not less. But brilliant acting with an outstanding directing of all. Each character has a strong solid performance. Every scene is very well-delivered. Even though the first quarter is to build and introduce the character, but it's done perfectly smooth. I didn't even realize it. And then the story goes. . As when the problem occurs, the audience can feel the pressure, the tense, the stress. It is so realistic so you can see how it feels so relatable. And i can feel my heart throbbing at some scenes, wishing for nothing bad happens. Just when i think what the story will be, it's twisted. The more i'm guessing, the more i'm wrong. . People say it is one of the best Bollywood movie, and i can't agree more. Definitely the best, indeed. A lifetime masterpiece. This movie deserves a wide acknowledgment to all over the globe. This is a hidden gem. And i'm really very late watching x))Spoiler : if you expect some dancing or singing like common Hindi movies, you won't see it here. Ah, and i really love the way the main role create such a deceptive reality into people's mind.A. Must. Watch.
The unfateful night's chain of events leads to a massive police search headed by the stern and steely IPS Meera Deshmukh (Tabu).Tabu's acting is top-notch in multiple interrogation scenes throughout the movie with a distinct no-nonsense persona on display at all times.Ishita Dutta is remarkable in her Bollywood debut with a wide palette of emotions. Mrinal Jadhav plays the role of the innocent and adorable younger daughter splendidly, generating a few interspersed audience laughs.Rajat Kapoor has a knack for playing the upper-class, businessmen – roles and is casted perfectly as Tabu's husband. However his character is a bit monochromatic, probably due to the script.
Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) is an orphan who dropped out of school after his 4th grade. Now he is a contented successful businessman running a cable TV service called Mirage Cable in Pondolem, Goa. He is married to Nandini (Shriya Saran), and they have two daughters, Anju, his adopted daughter (Ishita Dutta), a class twelve student, and Anu, a class six student. His only interest apart from his family is watching films. He spends most of his time in front of the TV in his small office. He has gained much fame in his rural area for helping people out with the help of methods he watched from films. During a nature camp, a hidden cell phone camera records Anju removing her clothes and showering in the bathroom. The culprit, Sam aka Sameer (Rishabh Chaddha), is the son of Inspector General of Goa Police, Meera Deshmukh (Tabu). Sam comes to blackmail Anju for sexual favors when Vijay is not home. Nandini intervenes and pleads with Sam to leave their family alone, but Sam refuses to leave them or delete the video clip unless his sexual demand is fulfilled. In an attempt to break the offending cell phone, Anju takes a swing at Sam with a lead pipe, but she strikes him in the head instead, killing him immediately. They hide his body in a compost pit, which is witnessed by Anu. In the morning, when Vijay returns from work, Nandini tells Vijay about the incident and he devises a way to save his family from the police. He removes the broken cell phone and disposes of Sam's car, which is seen by the corrupt Sub-Inspector Laxmikant Gaitonde (Kamlesh Sawant), who has a grudge against Vijay. The next day, Vijay takes his family out on a trip to Panjim, where they visit an Ashram, watch a movie, and eat at a restaurant. Meera, realizing that her son has gone missing, starts an investigation.
The AJay Devgan starer lacks performance in original sense. When it was made in Malayalam, the wife was more boastful and fearless girl.I don't understand why she has to be fearful in nature. A mother should be caring towards children and must tell them to be courageous than fearful. It is right to say that on the night when this happened, she was feared. The actress is also not at all like a motherly character but a puppet. She also does not understand the reason for doing these. The children do not show any natural affection towards her but i feel they did it for their own protection. The star performer is only Tabu who has done such roles previously and matches Asha Sharath who did same character in Malayalam. The story goes in same direction but has no good locations at all. After the first half,u would watch it just because u want to complete what u saw.I don't see any reason why this should be watched.
