Marika Nicolette Green (born 21 June 1943) is a Swedish-French actress. She is mostly famous for appearing in Pickpocket (1959) and Emmanuelle (1974). Born in Södermalm, Stockholm, Stockholm County, she left Sweden for France in 1953. She played the lead female role in Robert Bresson's Pickpocket at the age of 16. She is the aunt of Eva Green and older sister of Walter Green, husband of Marlène Jobert. Green married Austrian cinematographer Christian Berger, regular collaborator of Michael Haneke. Pickpocket
Michel takes up pickpocketing on a lark and is arrested soon after. His mother dies shortly after his release, and despite the objections of his only friend, Jacques, and his mother's neighbor Jeanne, Michel teams up with a couple of petty thieves in order to improve his craft. With a police inspector keeping an eye on him, Michel also tries to get a straight job, but the temptation to steal is hard to resist.
