Adam Raczek, who is interviewing witnesses at the scene of the crime, is amazed to get to know his new colleague in this way. The traces in the victim's apartment point to a dispute that seems to be related to escalating inheritance disputes in the Grutzke family. Bastian's grandmother, the matriarch Hilde Grutzke, keeps a considerable amount of cash at home and sometimes opens the door at gunpoint.
