Katja and her intern Lilly tend a remote alpine pasture because the owner is in the hospital. Suddenly weird things happen, up to and including a fire that breaks out in front of the hut.

On a class trip to church in spring, eight-year-old Liam Mehdamm learns that a clergyman has to keep secrets to himself. The boy uses this to confide in Pastor Sonnleitner that his four-year-old brother would hurt him very often. The child looks very depressed, but since the pastor is bound by the confessional secret, he asks the village helper Katja to take a look around at Liam's family.
