This movie is a good time, it has enough wit to leave you suspended in disbelief long enough to get lost in the storyline. Cool ideas and funny moments.
Director Ricky Hess weaves together several warped tales with sinister outcomes, all happening in the rooms of a once grand (victorian? edwardian?) hotel, worthy of Vincent Price himself. Amongst this gorgeous backdrop, the cast does an excellent job walking that subtle line between the silly horror of 'House', or 'Sean of the Dead'.....and the other kind, the skin crawling darkness of 'Twilight Zone' and Hitchcock.
Everything old will be new again and this case something good. I loved the the twilight zone and anything like that. If you like to be scared, thrilled and having the hairs on the back of your neck stand up then this is a must see movie.Marc
It's well shot and super cute. Had me from the first story. The acting really makes it. Stylized performances, but not too much. The cast is extremely likable. Plus it's a nice change of pace to see a nice family friendly type of horror flick. Has kind of an Amazing Stories kind of vibe. There's so much camcorder crap clogging up Prime and Netflix it's refreshing to see a lower budget flick that actually tries. The music and sound is also top notch. The anthology format really works for it. Looking forwards to seeing more work from these filmmakers in the future. The anthology series continues dishing out short slices of sci-fi/horror/mystery tales with plenty of quirky characters and twisted endings. Aliens, psychos, brain robbers, clones and more are caught up in extraordinary situations at this mysterious hotel located in rural Georgia.
