Carter (O'Bryan) wonders if he's ever going to find a woman who wants to be more than "just friends." His conniving best friend Pat and beautiful step-sister Erin (Vanessa Marcil) both know what's causing the problem: He's too nice! Having never taken them seriously in the past, Carter reconsiders when he meets Maggie (Sybil Temchen), a woman he feels just might be the one. Could it be time for this nice guy to finally start playing games? Set among the gorgeous backdrop of Kentucky horse country, "Nice Guys Sleep Alone" is a hilarious, touching and thoughtful romantic comedy.

My wife and I rented NICE GUYS SLEEP ALONE, and it was a wonderful surprise--an undiscovered gem that sparkled for both of us. It had winning characters, a story line that was clever without being gimmicky, great dialogue (with a few laugh-out-loud lines), appealing actors who seemed perfectly cast, and production values that were far above the level of the typical small indy film.
What a charming film! Nice Guys Sleep Alone is a hysterically true-to-life account of the dating games in which we all participate. As a woman who has reviewed The Rules, The Anti-Rules, and the social rituals of Venus and Mars, I found myself laughing with enlightenment and commiseration. Check this one out!
Being from Louisville and having met the director, who is in fact a really nice guy, I thought I'd really dig this movie just for the sheer pride of my city. OH MY SWEET CHRIST!!! This is probably one of the most ridiculously, embarassingly horrible movies ever committed to celluloid! I watched it in the privacy of my own home and was still cringing and looking around to see if anybody was watching me watch this movie. I don't think we could fit any more tired, ineffective cliches and dialogue into a film if we tried. Don't get me wrong...I love when people make the effort to make films but JESUS...PLEASE!!!!!
I came across this movie on HBO the other night and was pleasantly surprised. Not only because it was filmed in my home town, but also because it was a well-made, enjoyable film. I will definitely buy the video.
