After watching this series I felt so incredibly saddened by the fact that there is no more to come. It just ends so abruptly. Well there really isn't and end to speak of. It could have ended like what they did for the first DVD and would have been a lot better than nothing. I'm just sitting back wanting more and I know it will never come. Why does such a series like this end with only 8 episodes. Why can't my heart be filed with joy at seeing a plausible ending to such an amazing series. Sure there is nudity but it is only a small added bonus to such an awesome series. I hope that I am lying when I say that such a series like this will never come by again. Please let it not be true.

This is good stuff. Superhero action, buckets full of T&A, good dubbing (really!), humor, Christian allegory, and it hearkens back to the original _Cutey Honey_ series from 1973. Cutey Honey is important. Honey was the first transforming magic girl, and the first crime-fighting magic girl. Cutey Honey made Sailor Moon possible.About that allegory: yes, I mean it. The original flesh-and-blood Honey died, and her father brought her back as an android: resurrected in a glorified body. As an android, Honey is manufactured, a form of virgin birth. She spends a lot of time with two thieves. By the second ep, she's hanging on a cross. There's more, so check it out.Oh, and there's no sex in this. Loads of nudity, but no sex.I only gave it seven stars, though, because it ends without being finished.

Let's get the facts out of the way: 1. Yes, it does have nudity in it. 2. Yes, it's pretty violent. 3. No, it does NOT have depictions of sexual intercourse in it. 4. No, the violence is not excessive. The New Cutey Honey is very loosely based on the old one from the 1970's. In it Danbei, the old schoolmaster is now a cyborg and finds Honey as the secretary to the new mayor. The mayor has vowed to clean the city up and reduce the crime there. Danbei helps Honey remember who she is, and then she goes and fights the minions of Dolmec before defeating him in episode 4. The next four episodes are her fighting the forces of darkness some more, ending with a fight against a gold thief named Gold Digger. I found many of the scenes quite hillarious, although sometimes it was not intended that way. Once or twice it does get unrealistic (such as the scene where Danbei and Chokkei are spying on Cutey in the shower,) but overall it's pretty good and worth checking out.

Cutey Honey is unquestionably one of Go Nagai's most popular characters. Contrary to the title's implications, it's not a porn; it's more of an action series for adolescents who aren't incorrectly motivated whenever Kisaragi Honey is briefly seen in the nude. The animation is some of the cleanest-looking there is, especially when compared to Go Nagai's other series (which are typically roughly and crudely drawn for added effect). Incredibly colorful, very well mastered audio track, and, all in all, a real blast to watch. I've never had so much fun watching a movie. And it's FOUR HOURS LONG! WOO! Rent a copy (should be available almost anywhere that isn't a BlockBuster, especially since it's been dubbed (though I personally prefer the subtitled version)) of the first volume. If you like it, finish it. Give it a shot.
