In a distant galaxy three escaped female convicts crash land on a primitive world inhabited by a race of warlike apes. They fight for survival as the humanoid apes fight for their possession, body and soul. A daring escape is their only way out. Hot on their heels are the blood lusting gorillas and a prison warden bent on their return to the prison ship they escaped from. Treachery, alliances and battle await the fighting factions. EMPIRE OF THE APES is an indescribably bad shot-on-video indie rip-off of PLANET OF THE APES featuring a bunch of jerks running around in the woods in gorilla masks and pronouncing their dialogue really badly. It's even worse than PLAY-MATE OF THE APES, a previous erotic version of the story I saw. The main characters are a trio of astronaut women wearing very little and delivering their dialogue in an embarrassing way. The video FX help to ensure that this is nightmarishly amateurish.
