Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) is an irresponsible party girl living off the her late rock legend father. Molly finds that her father's accountant Bob stole all her money and she is left penniless. She relies on her friend Ingrid (Marley Shelton), but she screws up the job. Then her other friend Huey (Donald Faison) gets her work as a nanny to hypochondriac Ray Schleine (Dakota Fanning) who is ignored by her music exec mother Roma (Heather Locklear).Brittany Murphy is a complete flake and not the adorable kind. I almost wish she's on drugs. At least that would explain a lot. Dakota Fanning is an angry little girl and again not the adorable kind. It's a clunky mix especially in the beginning. The movie gets better as they actually built a relationship. It's a passable comedy.

Don't go by the name or the poster. This is a great movie, period. It may start out as a chick flick. That is the major characters in this movie are women. But its not vanilla. This movie captures the feeling where everyone is getting what they want except you. But women in this movie don't change because of the selfish people around them who claim to love them. It made me cry and I'm sure it can make a boy/dude/hunk cry. The acting is classic. The character stay true to their roles to the end. And though one of them is a 28 year old loser and the other a mysophobic punctual 8 year old you develop respect and love for both as they do for each other. I would never mind watching it again.

A fairly entertaining movie that could be labeled as a chick flick. This is the kind of movie where one of the two main characters (this time a little girl) has a really bad attitude caused by familiar problems and some other issues. But everything changes when she meets a hot but naive baby sitter that will take care of her always. Also, she teaches her lessons of life and helps her get through the different problems of being a young girl as the film points it out.As a man who is into Horror I can only say that this movie is recommended for an audience that enjoys this kind of romantic comedies that always have a positive message and a happy ending. The performances are alright. Brittany Murphy is sexy as always and always manages to deliver a fun performance. She's pretty fine. Dakota Fanning is very annoying but the girl is a very good actress.Just watch this movie and enjoy... To be honest I didn't expect it to be this "good". Recommended for women specially.

Brittany Murphy was really great and played her role well. I definitely love her acting skills in this movie! She brings laughter to the film with her funny lines and actions.Dakota Fanning - I must admit - is a good little actress in this movie. She is serious and acts like an adult. She made the film interesting along with her lines. "I had those shoes... When I was 5."Marley Shelton's character, Ingrid, however annoyed the hell out of me with her whining. This movie had it's serious parts and funny parts. The serious parts were sad, and the funny parts were, well, funny!I mostly laughed at Brittany Murpheys scenes where she acted like a child and then you have Fanning being the grown up of the film.I liked it and I think it's worth watching especially because Brittany Murphey does a great job!
