Superfast is the latest comedy spoof from directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, whom brought up films such as Epic Movie, Date Movie and Meet the Spartans. Superfast appears to be beter than those films as this one has one main concept and isn't completely over the place. With these parody films, one can wonder as to what to expect.Although this film isn't as funny, it is actually quite entertaining and engaging. The cast portraying the Fast and the Furious actors do a solid job, especially the actor portraying Vin Diesel. Still, the film offers a lot of corny and miss fire jokes, but that was expected. Having little to no expectations, don't expect a masterpiece, just a film to pass time.
I finally watched this film last night and it is mostly funny. Some of the jokes in the middle of the film are childish, but most of the spoofs in the first 1/3 and last 1/3 are hilarious. I'm surprise I never heard of this film before until now. It might not be worth the price of a movie ticket to some, but as an on demand TV movie, it's entertaining.
I have seen so many spoofs made from popular horrors and most of them were crap. So I picked up this one for two reasons, the muscle cars and the reference to Fast and Furious 6 (2013). I liked it on some parts but of course it still stays in the bad area. What I was surprised of was that it only copied the story of the Fast 6 and on the other hand the actors all looked like the real ones. On part of the cars it wasn't that bad at all, the Challenger, well, some won't like the colour but what a car it is. The comedy added goes from a stupid fart to slapstick situations. And yes, here and there I did laugh. So if you want to see hot chicks and cars, then this is your stuff, if you think you gonna die laughing then you are wrong but better then most spoofs.Gore 0/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 1,5/5
This is unquestionably the best parody movie I have seen. The acting was good, the humor was mostly slapstick exempt and with the 7+ movies to draw on, the plot line wasn't completely predictable. Grasping at various scenes from each of the films, this satirical take on the films did an admirable job blending them all and keeping a fresh storyline.Don't expect to see these actors in any upcoming films, their faces are bland, and their acting skills aren't anything unprecedented.Overall, if you're wanting to break up a Fast and Furious marathon, or not a fan of the franchise, give this film a chance (with the mindset that it is a parody) and you won't be disappointed- just don't bother with a theater viewing.
