Delivery Man is a great movie with a well developed plot and a great comedic cast. In reading the plot summary and even watching a trailer you would perceive this as a typical Vince Vaughn comedy, but that really is not the case. It's set up is certainly humorous and there is plenty of hilarious moments, but it is actually a meaningful comedy drama as we follow Vaughn discovering he has fathered 533 children through sperm donation. He takes the opportunity to meet some of these kids and turn their lives around, it is heartfelt and we manage to gain a connection with various different characters, even if they are only there for two scenes. I do think that the 533 children set up was a little too much. I feel they should have given the character a much smaller number and have him gaining a connection with all of them, taking out the court side of the story and making it more personal. The performances are stellar, with the cast being well able for both comedic and dramatic scenes. Vaughn and Cobie Smulders are the highlight for me, their scenes together are very realistic, particularly towards the end of the movie. It manages to balance out comedy and drama surprisingly well for a set up like this, it is laugh out loud funny at times, as well as sincere other times. Funny and well acted, Delivery Man is worth the watch for anyone looking for a good comedy or drama. An underachiever discovers he has fathered 533 children. Best Performance: Vince Vaughn

This movie is so unbelievable on so many levels. It's a scary thought thinking that there could be 533 mini David Wozniak's/Vince Vaughn's in this world. For such a pathetic loser he really does get some great opportunities in life. It's actually quite an insult, well you know if it was real.The first 20 minutes of this film was pretty painful but after a bit it starts to get better. It has more heart than it is funny. In fact some moments were gut wrenchingly sad. But for the most part I enjoyed this movie. As I continued to watch I began to come around to the movie and stopped overthinking the craziness of it all. It was nothing like I expected and so much deeper and emotional than I could have imagined. So no it's not a comedy but it's not a bad movie.

if this was an assignment, then there would be some nice things to pinpoint. BUT the way I hallucinate and see things may be bullshit compared to the carelessness attached to it...kinda like the end of that football film with aaron Eckhart... I'm having so much fun I actually think condensing a synapsis with not a lot to say toward either film, Except that I liked the football film more, and liked the way Chris Pratt acted.....here. I don't have to explain anything but...when VINCE who is STARBUCK who is David is done following one of his promiscuous gay kids...he links up with a son who allows his vocabulary to change.....and while they get out of the woods in this scene, there's like a temporary tent city where this son says to David that he wants himn to himself, and its not the GAY one he followed....but by far the best part and really confusing part would have had to have been when his BUD went to acting and he ran into a girl who overdosed in her apartment, somehow linking and suggesting that the guy who left his bartender position was the BOYFRIEND of this girl who overdosed, THAT David played by vince vaugn was empowered as a chaperone who then was key in the release of the WOMAN who overdosed, on purpose is remained to be known.

I rarely leave comments and review any movies I've watched, but this film struck me enough that I feel compelled to pen my thoughts down.Most of the critics are slamming the film for being a remake of two existing films (yes, it's not original), but as someone who hasn't seen those two, I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this movie. This whole movie was undeniably believable. Sure, there were some gaps in logic, but those can easily be fixed with about 30 mins more screen time. I can't fault them for not producing a longer movie. Just fill in the gaps for yourself. Anyway, I thought the direction was superb, tight, controlled, and the characters gave an excellent performance. It wasn't forced, and being billed as a "comedy", I was surprised that there weren't people just randomly goofing about. Vince's performance was almost flawless. I am astonished he managed to pull off his character considering he's a 'comedy typecast'. The set design was excellent, the cinematography was A+, and so was the (lack of) background music. Occurrences of comedy bits were quite sparing, instead relying on subtle lines and the charisma of the main characters (Chris Pratt gave a brilliant performance) to deliver those laughs. It worked perfectly I feel, this entire movie, and it's a pity it ain't being recognised for what it really is. A feel-good, yet deep and thought-provoking film that will impact you in one way or another.
