"Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" finds the cuddly rascal from another planet helping Lilo get ready for the big island hula contest. When there's a malfunction, his destructive programming is restored and he goes back to acting the way he did before he was "tamed." Will Stitch glitch out for good, or will he recover and repair his friendship with Lilo? This sequel might not be quite as good as the original, but it still has a lot of going for it. As a direct-to-DVD project, you can't expect the same animation quality as you get from a theatrical release. "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" is still a charming and thoughtful follow-up.
Is Lilo and Stitch 2:Stitch Has a Glitch as good as the original? Not quite. The original film is funny and touching with wonderful animation and great writing and characters. But is it better than the series and Stitch the Movie? Yes I think so. While the series is decent despite some hit and miss moments, Stitch the Movie feels like an extended TV episode and a rather mediocre one at that.Lilo and Sticth 2:Stitch Has a Glitch was much better than I expected, and one of the better sequels in my opinion. Though it is not without its flaws. As others have noted, it is too short, at just over an hour it could have done with being 10 minutes longer. The subplot about David and Nani's relationship problems could have also done with more development and while they were still entertaining, Jumbaa and Pleakley could have been used more. However, the animation is just great, very fluid and colourful in the colours and backgrounds and the characters are well drawn. The soundtrack is also delightful, and made you want to sing along, the story is heart-warming and well-paced with good messaging and the script is both funny and touching. The characters are still likable, Lilo is well-meaning and sweet, Stitch is lovable as always and Nani's personality is less distorted than it is in the series. The voice acting I have nothing against either, and I feel Dakota Fanning is a worthy replacement as Lilo.Overall, above average and surprisingly pleasant. Had it been longer, it would have been even better. 7/10 Bethany Cox
In this movie, there is something wrong with Stitch ((aka the title)) and Jumba must try to fix him. Meanwhile, Lilo is trying to create a dance for hula class, but Stitch's glitch keeps messing things up. I thought this movie was very nice and interesting. The animation was just like the original, not the cheesy animation of some sequels I could mention... The scene at the end was very sad and depressing, though it had a Beauty and Beast theme to it. It really didn't add to the story and if it never came out, it wouldn't matter, but it was a very good movie just the same. My whole family saw it and they all agreed it was a good movie, one of Disney's better sequels. 4/5
I personally though this movie was very good. The story had was great, unlike the one in Stitch the movie. Even though in my opinion the comedy was sparce, I still liked it, including the family night. The ending made me cry a bit, I mean, killing off Stitch? How could they? I liked how they got Lilo and brought him back though, it would have been a huge disappointment if he was actually gone. =( I loved the animation, the only problem was with the noses, but like that will change. Great movie for all ages. x3Voices were great but no daveigh. Dakota wasn't fit for the job. not up to par with the real voice of lilo.
