Spillegæld eller æresgæld. Beboerne samler sammen til Fru Hammertedt, så hun kan betale en spillegæld efter sin afdøde mand. Samtidig lægger beboerne sammen med Fru Hammerstedt en snedig plan, til at få pengene tilbage.
Egon køber en Citroên 1939 - og så er fanden løs i huset. Ved fælles hjælp, og især ved enkefru Hammerstedts indgriben, ordnes alt dog til sidst til en happy ending.
Enkefru Hammerstedt tipper ved at dreje på sin afdøde mands billede. Da hun senere på ugen mangler penge, deler hun kuponen med Karla, der er overbevist om, at de nok skal vinde den helt store gevinst. Men enkefru Hammerstedt retter sig ikke helt efter billedet, så det gamle ord om, ikke at flå skindet af en bjørn før den er skudt, får ny betydning for husets beboere.
Olsens chef er afgået ved døden. Chefens kone tilbyder Olsen, at han kan købe flyttevognen, og blive selvstændig. Olsen går med på den nye modedille, at blive radiodiregeret, men teknik har det med at drille, og på et vigtigt tidspunkt svigter den, med det resultat at flyttevognen ender sine dage nær en kolonihave.
Huset på Christianshavn was an 84-part television drama series broadcast in Denmark between 1970 and 1977. It was produced by the Nordisk Film company for the national broadcasting corporation, Denmarks Radio. 48 of the episodes were also shown in the German Democratic Republic. The series portrays the lives of the residents of a block of flats on Amagergade, Christianshavn, an old part of Copenhagen.
