Dominic Cipullo (born January 26, 2004 in Exeter, New Hampshire) is an American film director and screenwriter known for his work on the short film “Thar She Lies”. Dominic Cipullo worked on the project with his associate director, Collin McLean. The two collaboratively came up with the idea and shot the movie entirely in 16mm film. Since then, the two have continued to work on projects with each other. The pair dabble in low budget, sleazy, grindhouseian cinema always making sure to shoot their movies on film. Their most recent project is titled “Hatchet Man” and is slated for a spring of 2021 release. Many of Dominic’s inspirations come from the horror genre. Particularly splatter films, creature features, giallos, and slashers. Some of his favorite directors include Lucio Fulci, William Lustig, Dario Argento, John Waters, Larry Cohen, and Stuart Gordon just to name a few. While none of the duo’s films thus far have been strictly “horror”, elements from the genre can be seen throughout their filmography via cinematography, violence, etc.
