Frank Willes, a young professional footballer, is involved in a road accident from which he emerges partially crippled, having crashed into the car of a wealthy shopkeeper who dies in the accident. Willes then learns that the merchant's widow, Clémence Grandval, stands to gain a fortune from her husband's life insurance. He also discovers that his accident may not have been an accident at all.
Reviews
This is a film freely adapted from a Charles Williams novel. A story in the line of what James Hadley Chase did. The tale of a lost man, involved in a swindle and murder case. Ant do not forget the femme fatale...Hardy Kruger is particularly brilliant here, so is Emmanuelle Riva/ The settings are interesting, for those like me who are in love with France in the sixties. The previous scènes in the Paris suburbs are astounding. I really like this little film, so rare. Unfortunately. Photography is also brilliant, and the DVD quality flawless.I don't know what else made the director Jean Valère.
