First season is a bit slow to start but Rebels soon takes off to provide Star Wars fans with a great experience. It expands on the Star Wars mythos in a great way, with amazing characters and a good plot. Now that the show is over I can't wait to see the sequel.

The show is low quality. It drags a lot and has no tension. The animation is low quality. Many of the episodes are repetitive and boring. It panders to hard to younger audiences. It uses original trilogy nostalgia a lot. Its clear that no one can stop the protagonists. The storm troopers and death troopers can't hit them and other more powerful characters from the movies and books are stupid. The humor is off and childish. Most of the characters are annoying.

Devoid of most mature themes this is a good children's show...ONLYThe Lion King had more mature themes, so i know its possible to insert mature themes into kids shows.first off the best characters on this show are Kanan and Hera...and followed closely by returning mature characters, which i wont spoil...i say this since, they are written like real people would be... not spastic children with intermittent amnesia, which itself seems to be dependent on the laziness of the writers in that episode. The show is way too inconsistent, esra is by far the worst abuser of the writing style for this series, his character is constantly inconsistent in his Morales his skills, one episode he'l be wiser and opting to save people, the next he's willing to let people die of starvation because something is "hard". This is lazy writing, the writers ruin any growth of character and progress with esra by suddenly making him buffoonish or goofy for the purposes of, usually a small non essential plot point, same with sabine although to a lesser extent. The show is devoid of mature themes and good writing, and thinks it can excuse that by saying "its a kids show" huh-ha!... And it is an excuse for poor writing as some of the characters that appear in the show, young audiences would have NO CLUE who they are or why they are there...they are fan service for the older audience.doing as little as possible and still claim its a show for all ages, which the producers have claimed. That is primarily what bugs most of the people that are fans of the old show, and why you see such bad reviews for it here. If your a tiny baby child(8 or 7) or a parent looking for a good childs show for your son/daughter its excellent...no killing, no mature themes, just shiny colors and sounds.... it is Y7 rating after allif your even moderately literate and read sci-fi books as a 10yo+ (like i did, not many tbh) you will find it bland comparatively , that's probably the second most insulting part of the show its so dumb even for a kids show, its a bit of an insult to a child's intellectlike i said in the opening "the lion king" had more mature themes. it can be done, they're just lazy, look at the production values as well....the animation is ghastly, the recurring VO's omg! are just annoying i swear there are just 3-4 storm troopers in the whole universe and they all quickly run around the galaxy to wherever esra is."we want a good show, but we don't want to spend a lot of money on it" seems to be the motto...

From movie to series failed so bad. Those positive reviewers who gave 7 stars above.. What are they thinking? Disney are like zombies tearing the flesh of those true Star Wars fans apart and feed on their money paid to watch these garbage. Killing Star Wars slowly with really stupid plots and ideas. Those who enjoy the Rebels and the Force Awakens, I dare to say that you are not true fans but just Star Wars addicts or mind of a kid or an immature teen. Anything that brands with a Star Wars logo SW addicts will support it blindly i notice that.. I never hated Disney before, they do well in Pirates of the Caribbean. I like that. But ever since they took over Star Wars, they have been producing garbage and mass feeding it to the world to people not knowingly who eats it. How can i like the Disney now who tries to feed me rubbish. (Except that if you are kids, its normal for you to like the SW Rebels) Cos there are some level of childishness in this series, not to mention the predictable story line yet. From all their positive reviews i can tell they have no clue at all what is the true force of Star Wars that binds together fans who truly understands it. Basically if you at least correctly understand about the conspiracy of Chancellor Palpatine on why he is helping The Republic and Separatists at the same time then in the end why did he gave up on the Separatists then you are a true Star Wars fan or at least someone who watch the movies seriously. If you think Star Wars is good due to some romance, action, cool outfits, light saber, some heroic speeches etc... Then you are someone who are just passing by just to watch a movie to pass time.. This SW Rebel is just some kids show to me honestly. Disney seems trying to make it look cute for kids, might as well add in Donald Duck and Mickey into SW rebels to make it more cute so all kids will have a good laugh. Seriously Disney production are getting lame these days. All the Star Wars made by Disney are not link at all. They just try to make it look linked up.. The book of the Star Wars already ended before Disney took over. I feel much better to think this way.. I never add any of Disney Stars Wars Production to my collection cos they are trash and not related. Real version of Star Wars ended with The Clone Wars. After that its just Disney's make believe Star Wars not link with the book of Star Wars at all.
