Some of my friends sometimes say, "have you ever seen such a film, it is really bad?" I tell them to go away and watch this film, then come back and tell me just how bad their film was again. So far 100% have come back to tell me that compared to this "film", their film was actually brilliant!

I have never rated a film 1 out of 10, but this is an absolutely terrible film and nobody should waste their time on it, with seriously poor production, script, it's one of those films that makes your skin crawl whilst watching it.The whole audio track appears to be have remastered / dubbed because it doesn't fit the lip movements of the actors, characters supposedly having recently arrived in the UK from Afghanistan speak in strong East London accents. For what little plot there is, the pacing is bad, slow and conversational throughout, there is just nothing to like, and it's shocking that this film is almost 2 hours long!Any scenes involving violence are poorly staged and clearly no stunt experts were in play, just some make-up artists that create wounds after the effect to make it look like something has happened!

I stuck with it even through a woeful opening scene. The story doesn't flow smoothly it could have had a good 20 minutes cut to make a more flowing narrative. I hate to single out an actor for a poor performance but Jamie Bannerman just didn't work. It seems like it was filmed by two crews and two directors because there were a lot of negatives but some positives including some talented actors who shone in-spite of the direction. Dave Courtney was Outstanding, Lucy Drive gave a believable performance though I know she is destined for a lot better. and Jerry Anderson despite this misnomer nothing wooden about him.I get the feeling a lot of effort is being put in by the producers into posting good reviews on here. Instead of which I would suggest a total re-edit and re release it as a directors cut. Spend the money. Dave Courtney's performance alone warrants that.

I wanted something a bit different over the weekend and by Jove I got it!Crime thrillers are not what usually tickles my pickle but this one was an absolute piéce de résistance. It's full of ghoulish killings and vile criminal types doing very unpleasant things to one another, but I must admit it got me rather fired up, out of my usual comfort zone, and throroughly kocked senseless by the shocking final twist (which I won't be giving away I'm afraid). The film follows the lives of Britain's drug barons, and shows how easy it can be for a poor fellow who once served Queen and Country to fall in with this unpleasant lot.I most highly commend this wonderful film, and I hope you all find it as delightful as I did. Only a 9, however, because it was too gory in parts. I'm squeamish.
