I wasted 90 minutes of my life. The movie was left totally unresolved. The photographer, who is supposed to be a former investigative reporter, Goes out of character, starts acting like a baby and abandons his buddy. It was not scary. I cannot believe the reviews I have read here. Someone must have paid the reviewers to say good things. It was truly a Waste of time!!
Chasing their dream of landing their own hunting show, two hunters head into the dense, secluded mountains of West Virginia only to realize they are not alone.Josh Stewart has seen great success as an actor. Although he is known to horror fans as Arkin from the "Collector" films, he has appeared in a wide range of titles. Here he branches out more to the production end, taking part in almost every aspect of this film. While it is not quite found footage (we never rely completely on the characters to show us around), the film is guaranteed to call to mind parallels with "Blair Witch Project" and "Willow Creek". Any point-of-view film in the woods is likely to bring these connections up, and for those who wish to be critical it is a fair criticism. But rather than simply dismiss the film as a copy or as being derivative, we should recognize this have become an entire subgenre of the horror or thriller film in its own right. The slow pace can be either boring or suspenseful depending on how the film is directed and edited (here it is more suspenseful). And there is something about playing with the imagination that can be a fun game for the filmmaker. This is the sort of film that plays best in dark, crowded theaters. At home, on a small screen, it cannot provide the full impact of giving people the jump it might.
Its a good movie, I enjoyed it from the beginning till the end but intermittently this feeling was coming into my mind that it's a copy or the theme is actually taken from the marvelous movie The Blair Witch Project which I think is one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. It's a good low budget movie, kept the interest intact of the viewer throughout the movie but I think there should be something new in it rather than copying the whole movie. It's a one man show movie i.e. the writer/director/producer/actor is only one guy Josh Stewart who I think has done a good job in his debut venture.
The collector, The Collection, The actor, The director, The Blair Witch Project, The time to wait for its release,i was so taken by the collector worth it, Josh is the man, no need to mention plot, Just watch the film. I'm not friends or family but this is bang on! Enough said! Willow creek was a movie i waited time for and it turned out to be a waste of time. This is genius and bravo Josh. I wouldn't mind a 3rd collector though, hint hint Mr Gates. Reminded me of a film with a father son and ex husband getting abducted by aliens but cant remember the film! when they were making a hunting video. It's a suck it and see!
