For me, Collins is a true pen name because she invented an exciting formula but unfortunately, she has this only recipe and the moment you have tested it, all her work is the same : Hollywood life, mega stars, stars on the decline, disturbing past, criminal plots, couples on the edges, steamy meetings… So, everything is here in this « Lady Boss ». With two episodes of 90 minutes, i don't think she has cut a lot of pages from her novel and the movie is really sluggish and very talkative all the more than she has a lot of characters under her belt. But, it's Hollywood life, with mansions we can never enter or live inside whatever we work all our life and it's about people who are free of any material cares and paradoxically who don't realize their chance ! The best quality of this movie is young Kim Delaney, who was thin at this time ! Before long seasons of « NYPD Blue » in which she stuck to Grey pants and deep concern, it was great to see her dress lightly and smiles ! In addition, she was the perfect pick to be the boss as she seems indeed to be a woman who can really take charge !

I thought that this film was pretty good--although I think anything with Jack Scalia is good. Kim Delany did well in the title role of "Lucky" although I feel that the book was better than this movie. Overall I would recommend this movie if just to see Jack Scalia.

Lady Boss was an extremely entertaining film all the way through. Together with an extremely beautiful and terrific cast this makes the film one of the best of the 90`s.The cast was very hot, including extremely handsome Jack(pointman)Scalia, he delivered a beautful performance, Vanity is one gorgeus woman and we can se that here, David Selby gives us a great performance as well.The film had an interesting story and was often beautifully filmed, all in all extremely entertaining.
