A group of girls, for unknown reasons, head to a remote area for a water fast. They have no electricity, no video games, no music, no food, nothing but water. They each have secrets they are trying to forget and hope this is the answer. Unknown to them, their water source is heavily polluted and exposure to it is making them act erratic... to the point of no return.Aside from the fact that I'm never a fan of films that give pollution a bad rep, this movie, which I watched in Italian with English subtitles, was undoubtedly boring. The idea certainly was creative and interesting, but this movie is really lacking. I don't recommend watching it but the concept itself had potential.
Well what can I say? I can accept that not everyones taste in movies is the same. But i'll eat my own DVD player if anyone could be so utterly brain damaged to like this pile of garbage. A bunch of girls go to an island on a lake to do a "Water Fast". Yup, they just drink water for a few days. Supposed to clean the body and spirit. Well watching an hour and a half of some ugly girls drinking water,is not my idea of entertainment. I waited and waited for something to happen, as this was categorised as a horror move. Nope it's a horrible movie not a horror move. The highlight's..One of the girls goes into a bathroom and makes a small cut on her shoulder. One of the girls gets a stone thrown at her head. For god's sake, is this the limit of the production teams imagination?. Give up trying to make movies boys, and go back to trying to scare little kids with a matchbox and a plastic spider. Don't waste any money or time on this insult to movie making. I turned it off 10 mins before the end..Maybe 1 hour and 20 mins too late. Rubbish.
H2Odio is the third movie by Alex Infascelli, a talented Italian director, with a great love with amazing cinematography and video clip directing... I have to admit that I don't really enjoy video clip directing (except for Shinya Tsukamoto's amazing style) and this movie is THE MOVIE WITH A VIDEO CLIP DIRECTING, but, I have to admit, it's visually impressive! The really problem of this movie is this: it's visually impressive, but nothing more else...acting and dialogs are not sooooo bad (they aren't bad at all), you never have the impression to watch a bad film, but the whole screenplay is a bit weak...I have to say that is really hard to find horror/thriller movies like this in Italy nowadays, Infascelli is a director who wants to experiment (some sequences in H2Odio are really amazing if you like Digital Shots) so this work is important for Italian "creepy movies", and for this reason I hope that Alex Infascelli will pay more attention on the substance in his next movies, 'cause a great cinematography and amazing camera movements makes an interesting movie, but not a masterpiece..Anyway, bravo Alex! and Chiara Conti confirms her as a talented actress...
Strange thing!one of the most interesting and visually superb thriller/horror movie of the last decade is just edited on sale and not in the cinema!!. Infascelli (the director of the overrated "Almost blue",but nowadays one of the most skillful Italian directors besides Garrone and not so much others )spreads on the screen like a psycho painter a bunch of really morbid images ( a pretty good mix of psychedelic visions and video-clip style), shrieking about a descent into the madness Everything in this movie (actresses, location, color, music and obviously the water..) create a really sick thing! If you are not on diet, it's unmissable!
