I am still wonder why this movie wasn't block buster. This movie contains everything in it and each and every frame is just fabulous. I am not a big fan of Salman khan but in this movie he is also very good.I won't put any spoiler here. Music is far far better and the scenes included in are just beautiful. Story telling is very funny but still has a great impact on the viewers. There is no drag in the drama it just goes on and hits the right climax in the end. Just enjoy this movie as each scene comes to life and Anupam Kher as a comedian done a great job.

Unbelievable for many reasons:1) For surviving the whole film without ripping my eyes out. 2) For the actors......who risked jeopardizing their careers. 3) The Director- A person who can make this film and appreciate it. 4) The producers, for having the balls to release it. 5) The 'Visual -Effects' - Oh my god!If this guy finds a job after this by anyone except the same director........ it's a miracle 6) The writer- Anyone who can write this, has the total inability to find beauty in anything. This is practically one of the worst movies I have ever seen! There was not a single thing that can be appreciated Everyone one acted miserably, the plot couldn't have been more 'cheezy' for a wanna-be parody! P.S : The only thing believable was Anu Malik's horrible music.

Well the promos weren't great, i thought just another romantic Salman boring film luckily the film wasn't that Of course the initial reels are damn too much and boring There is too much of time wasted on crude comedy of Salman and AnupamBut when Akshay enters things get better and gets the best when the focus shifts to new york, but then too slowly things get ruined by some over the top comedy involving Aman Verma and Salman But slowly the romantic scenes and Salman's change of heart change the film and make it a nice film From a aimless film, it becomes a nice aim filmThe scenes between Salman and the kid are the best and of course between Akshay and SalmanThere are some clichéd scenes too and even lot of nonsense But yet luckily the film is better then many crap filmsShirish Kunder makes a confident debut as a director, He is Farah Khan's husband and has edited films like MAIN HOON NAA but here he becomes a director and does a good job at many places, though he needs to improve a lot Editing is weak though, the film drags a lot Music(Anu Malik) is best, especially AJNABEE SHEHERSalman Khan is irritating in initial reels and overdoes the dude image as always but when his character changes, he too changes and steals the show in the second half, he is simply admirable in the latter reels Strange actually, Salman proves he can act Akshay Kumar Shows his versatility, the actor goes against his crook image and plays a simpleton with the same power, though his laughter looks put-on, He is simply admirable in the scene front of the mirror, or his last scene with Preity Preity Zinta does her part well Anupam Kher goes over the top in many scenes but impresses in some too But his 2nd character looks forced Javed Sheikh is okay, Aman Verma hams like no tomorrow

Granted, the story is old and inspired, some scenes and plot lines are lifts, some dialogs are lifted (the 6 smiles one from "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton", for example), but really, that isn't what Jaan-e-mann is about. This movie is all about the screenplay and editing, and that's where it scores brilliantly. The screen is used like a stage, with characters moving in and out, especially during song sequences, and this carries the story forward. Personally, I feel the treatment is great. It works well, and every frame is a visual treat.Salman and Akshay are not the best actors in the industry, but have consistently proved themselves worthy of mention in comic roles. And these roles are mostly about timing. Preity Zinta is alright, but then she usually is. I've never seen her do too bad, and I've never seen her shine out either. Anupam Kher delivers as required. Javed Sheikh was a surprise, and had a really short role with hardly much to say.The songs sound strange and incoherent when you hear just the audio soundtrack, but fit in really well once you watch them in the film, as they come. They truly are situational songs, as i said before, and they move the story along. A true break from directors trying to make the songs picturesque by shooting in Switzerland.Jaan-e-mann is a good film, definitely worth a watch, and I'm surprised it flopped. Audience reactions can be a real surprise sometimes. I still recommend this for a good, fun few hours.
