Trailer Synopsis Cast Keywords

Ian Folivor, a depressed and reclusive 30-something, finds himself taking advice from a growth in his bathroom after a failed suicide attempt. The Mold, a smooth talking fungus who was born of the filth collecting in a corner of Ian's neglected bathroom, works to win Ian's trust by helping him clean himself up and remodel his lifestyle. With The Mold's help, Ian attracts the attention of a neighbor he's been ogling through his peephole, Leah, and he manages to find a slice of happiness despite his unnatural circumstances. But Ian starts to receive strange messages from his old and broken down TV set that make him realize that The Mold may not be as helpful as it seems to be, and strange characters combined with stranger events cast Ian's life in the shadow of an epic battle between good and evil that Ian is only partially aware of.

If this is what passes as comedy theses days then I have to avoid this genre. Actually there was no comedy but the entire film was a complete joke.I do not have any problems about bad movies those movies have bad ratings and I do not watch them. But when a film gets almost 6/10 ratings while even 1/10 feels quite generous, I get irritated. Which is what I felt when I was watching this film.Among all the things story was the absolute worst, without any real plot. As well as the acting was not very convincing, the characters in the film were not interesting either.NOT RECOMMENDED.

I wonder what that guy that gave Don Thaker a budget of 176000 dollars must think now after watching Motivational Growth. He must be devastated that someone fooled him with this script. I saw already a lot of very stupid movies but this one must be in the top ten. What a waste of time and money this movie is. It's not because the whole movie is gross, that's actually the fun part, but just because the story is so lame and boring. I checked at least ten times during the movie to see how long more I had to endure this piece of crap. The only positive about this movie would be Danielle Doetsch. She's a candy for the eye but that's about it. Everything else is total garbage. And don't believe any review that are positive about Motivational Growth. They are all liars, that are probably somehow related to anybody that worked on that movie. Avoid at all costs!

Long time ago i learned not to trust ratings, but the story sounded interesting. I was so damn wrong. I know a lot of people who give these ratings were and are still high on weed while watching the movies and writing the reviews for them. Legalized marijuana is so bad for the normal straight (as in no drugs) people who just want an honest opinion. And then you have those self-righteous hipsters who inhale their own farts and give their poops a name and a kiss before they flush them, cause ... it is a special part of them. And that's why i am here, cause of all those people with their "honest" reviews and bloated ratings fooled me in to watching this movie. So, here is my review: Its so damn boring! Movie keeps you in some suspense where you keep on waiting for this epic battle between good and evil and then its just over. The End Who ever said this movie was anything else is either full of them selves or high on weed.

Had I not seen this film at Rose City Comic Con 2015, I may have never found it. This is a diverse and incredibly complex film that disguises it's self as a horror film.It is indeed a horror film, but much more so then it truly portrays to be. The director, Don Thacker does an incredible job making us feel the main character, Ian's plight. He does this by isolating Ian in an apartment and bringing everyone to him. I don't want to give much more away. but this film should not be missed!!! If this director is not a bigger deal in a couple of years I would be incredibly surprised. I am looking forward to his next.. It doesn't hurt that he used the great Jeffrey Combs to voice a talking mold spore.
