The film, as its name implies, centres on Gurneal "Neal" Ahluwalia and Nikkita "Nikki" Bakshi (Uday Chopra and Tanisha), two Canadians of Indian descent, born and raised in British Columbia. Before getting married Neal wants to spend one month on vacation in total freedom by meeting women, going to clubs...

NnN is quite possibly the world's worst film--and also the funniest. The only thing better than a good film is one so bad it falls right over the other side into greatness. I enjoyed every painful, awkward, un-self-conscious, enthusiastic, ridiculous, out-of-touch SECOND of Neal n Nikki. My friends and I have had a Neal n Nikki Nite three times already. If you want to be TRULY entertained, please see this film. Also, for such a stinker, it has a great soundtrack.. The bad songs are enthusiastic and cheesy so you can't get them out of your head and end up really enjoying singing them (Neal n Nikki; Amanda; I'm in Love), and some are just genuinely good (A pretty girl from Bhatinda; Hallare; Anakh Lariye). This film is a gem.
This movie is not worth anything. I mean, if you want to watch this kind of stuff, flip to Hollywood movies! This totally is a disgrace to the Bollywood name. Neal N Nikki seriously sucked! Never watch this movie. As for the actors, it appears the acting genes skipped a generation. Tanisha couldn't have worn less and Uday Chopra obviously was just picked because he was the director's spoiled son. (All of that Halla Re was amazingly stupid) The songs are eh, and I hope the director did not spend to much money on it...... Bottom line, I hated the movie. Do not let your kids watch it, and if you have it in your house it is a stupid movie so discard it! Buy the CD, if you must. (As I said, the songs are eh.) At least it is better then the movie.
It is a great movie. I've been wondering why it didn't work that well. It is a fun, light-hearted, happy, cheerful, fresh movie. It is a real fast moving cute film. You'd never find it dragging and boring. It contains the element of subtle humor. It doesn't have nagging irritating characters, melodramatic scenes, unnecessary emotions, unnecessary violence etc. Even the climax of the movie, when Nikki is suppose to stop the engagement(thank God, not the final grand wedding), the story has a funny twist, unlike all the other movies where there is lots of crying, sacrifice, and blah blah blah..... The places where the movie is shot are really beautiful. The music of the movie is brilliant. It sounds very new and original. I has a touch of Punjabi + western + Indian classical + something like Arabic (I think). And of course, not to forget the choreography; which is also superb; fresh and decent, simple and elegant. The movie is overall decent. Decency is not about the clothes of a heroine in a movie. It is about the way she is portrayed; and I don't think Tanisha's role in the movie is reprehensible. Even the kissing and sex scenes are not picturized in a dis-respectable or vulgar manner. Another thing I don't understand is why people are complaining about the movie not being realistic. Why should a movie be realistic? If they wanted to see realistic practical things, they shouldn't be watching movies at all. They should be watching documentaries and news instead. Movies are for entertainment and this movie is thoroughly entertaining, especially because of the energetic roles/characters of the actors, the music, the dance etc. Everything about the movie is so lively and completely alive. Everyone's acting in the movie is good, the Indians' as well as the Canadians'. Tanisha Mukherjee and Uday Chopra have acted really well. For the short span of the movie, the characters are pretty well-etched, eg., the heroine's ego with respect to her being fired from jobs or being dumped by boyfriends. Even the psychology of the hero and heroine and their lack of communication just after their night together is shown naturally. Finally one movie doesn't show crap like 'I can't live without you' love. This movie shows just the optimum amount of attraction/emotions/love. I think after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, this is the only cute movie of Yash Chopra/Aditya Chopra films. None of my friends had watched this movie, because of the general comment that it is not worth watching. But the day I finished my exam I got the CD and watched it. I somehow wanted to see it the day I saw the trailers. And after that most of my friends have watched it and they've all liked it. So, people, if you like bright, cheerful, cute, happy movies...this is the one for you.
I don't know what everyone is talking about an awful movie. I just saw this movie and it's great. It's sure nice to see Bollywood movies get away from those stupid movie after movie. Yes I would say it's more like Amercian Pie but with a Indian twist. Very nice scenery in British Columbia. Great songs 2 thumbs up. I agree they show tits and ass, but that's what is happening these days to get ratings. How do you think those remix videos and music videos do so well. And to hear people committing about Indian women drinking; I guess you haven't been to your local club. I'm not say they drink heavily but they do drink casually. Wake up people we're in the 21st century. All I can say is go out and check it out. Yash Chopra and Arjun Sablok keep them coming and don't let some of these people cast a black cloud over the movie.
