Square Root of 964 Pinnochio...Yea, that's right, the official title is wrong, it's really the "Square Root" of 964 Pinnochio, seriously. I know, it's dumb...Essentially it deals with this robot named Pinnochio who's sole purpose and design was for sex, but apparently he can't have sex anymore...(someone sure got ripped off on that deal) and runs into some psychotic homeless woman who spends most of her time looking at people up close with her binoculars. Yea...and did I mention the square root is completely unrelated to the rest of the movie with exception to the title screen?....Now...I have seen one other pieces of this guy's work, ala 'Tetsuo'...which...I didn't even get through 10 minutes of because it was that bad. I probably shouldn't have watched this all the way through, but I wasn't about to allow another movie defeat me, and especially from the same producer, plus my friend was there and he was required to review this sorry piece of-....well you know.Plot? Haha, there was a plot to this thing? Pray tell if someone knows then do tell me because from what I could see there was no discernible plot. All this movie was at a base level was a pile of human puke mixed in with fecal matter from a bull, which, ironically enough, puke seemed to be a recurring motif, let that set the tone for the rest of the movie that you are about to watch. The acting was garbage (literally maybe 15-25 lines total of dialogue), special effects were horribly misused, and the jump cut tactic was overused throughout the movie, but the scenes where one was expected, or in some cases, would actually be welcome, just left you hanging. And whoever did the photography for this movie was on some serious hash or something, whatever it was, must have been some very strong stuff, and probably very illegal too...My 2 cents: Have no illusions my friends, this movie is not art, and it can't even be put in the genre of surrealism. And to be honest with you, I don't even know if the previous reviews were reviewing the same movie I watched, perhaps they thought they were seeing a different movie, and I sincerely hope that indeed is the case. Stay in bed under your covers, bury yourself in your lover's embrace, don't bother seeing this movie, for it will be your only safety from it.
Wow this was one weird movie. I have never in my life seen anything like this. This is not the Disney Pinocchio we all grew up watching. This movie is so messed up you won't believe it. Pinocchio is a lobotomized cyborg sex slave, and is thrown out onto the street by his owners. Pinocchio meets up with this homeless girl named Himiko. Then Pinocchio's creator sends out his men to get rid of Pinocchio. This is one really strange movie though. It's pretty low budget, but in a good way. I liked all the weird camera angles too. I think the best part was when Pinocchio ran down the streets screaming. That was just weird and freaky! I bet all those people were freaked out when they saw this thing running. Did I mention the ending is also weird as heck. If you're looking for a weird movie to watch, then you'll enjoy Pinocchio 964. There's nothing out there quite like this. 9/10 from me.
******SPOILERS AHEAD*******Do you want to know what horror crap is? YOU Don't WANNA KNOW! So, I'll tell you a funny story. It was a rainy afternoon, we were kind of sad because there wasn't any movies that we liked, so we went to Blockbuster, after picking The Descent we were getting ready to go when BOOM! My eyes turn to a movie, in the art section (how the hell did that got there?), the image shows me an ugly Japanese guy with a funny orange hair, and I say "hey, whats that?" so I turn the case and I read the synopsis and it says its a Japanese horror movie, so I say, "hey, should we check this out?" and one of my friends answers "hell yeah!". And thats how we made the worst mistake of our lives.Soon, we started watching the movie, the first minutes were random images, sex images, and we were like "Man, did we rented a porn?". Right after those """"hot"""" scenes the movie shows us this Asian girl seated on the street and the funny hair man running towards her. After 10 *bleep* minutes of watching the guy running (I mean it, 10 minutes), this guy starts like becoming mustard or something, and the girl goes crazy, she starts like dancing and then she stops and starts... puking... everywhere, leaving her... stuff ... all over the place... UGH is so painful writing this... Well apparently Pinocchio was a sex cyborg designed for girls who wanted to have fun, yeah that sounds so bad... and he escaped from the cyborg facility and apparently became a monster or something and... well let me tell you the ending, because I don't think anyone will ever see this.****SUPER SPOILERS****** At the end, the girl starts screaming at Pinocchio "DIE, DIE" and then, they both scream and she rips her face off (yes, her face) and a new head grows from her neck... some gray horrible huge ugly face... and then Pinocchio grabs that face and cuts it off, and then he places that head in himself. THE END. WUARGGHHHHH!!! ******SUPER SPOILERS-END*******Ugh, is the most disgusting, stupid, weird, sexual, insulting, and extremely gross movie I have ever seen. There is nothing good about it, my friends and I were screaming like little girls disgusted when we saw those two freaks playing with their tongues and when the girl started eating her vomit. I mean, if you don't feel disgusted right now...If I could give this a zero, I would, but, I cant, so here it is: "1"
I saw this movie at Best Buy, and remembered it being an unearthed films release. I still wasn't going to buy it until I flipped it over and saw a picture of a white faced, bleeding from the mouth, freak running down the streets with a few thousand confused people looking on. Knowing that those people weren't extras, I had to buy this movie. This movie is pure insanity. At first It looks like it might be somewhat normal, everything makes sense, it seems almost cute...almost...Suddenly the whole movie takes a turn for the "worst" and all that wholesomeness we just witnessed turns into something completely opposite. A lot of people compare this movie to Tetsuo for some reason, which is like comparing apples to oranges, but that being said, 964 Pinocchio will make you appreciate Tetsuos coherent storyline. As insane as that may sound.I don't want to mention, nor could I fully explain the plot, because that would ruin most of this movie. if your sick of your everyday Hollywood remakes and want a totally new experience, and like a bit of wackiness mixed in with your bizarre freak out films, than you will love this unique movie.
