nothing happens. The family aren't realistic and don't act like they know each other. the mums seems to only care about herself. the kids are rude and the dad is an idiot. other movies build a plot, have side characters and spend time showing the city being destroyed while in transit. this movie spends ages watching the family trying to find transport to get to safety but then the movie just jumps from 'how will we get to the airport' to 'we are now at the airport'. I'm 33 minutes in and the only thing stopping me from changing channel is the fact that i cant be bothered. gonna go see if this movie gets any better... i seriously doubt it will

I love bad disaster movies and this is one of the worse I have seen in a long time. Bad green screen and effects. Bad acting, I mean really bad. I wanted the mom to be killed off in the fist 30 seconds she was on screen. Imagiane Jane Curton and Guilda Radner when SNL first started doing spoof skits on bad acting.., It's pretty bad when the 8 year old boy is the one coming up with the ideas that 5 grown men including military captain. The music was not that bad. I do love good music scores and this one was decent. Lots of percussion The only way the special effect could have been worse is if they had used hand puppets. . My favorite line is "it is from the bowel of hell" Bad bad bad! I loved it!

OK, I had to give it a 1 mainly because the movie is absolutely terrible in every possible way. However, it had me laughing all the way through with its ridiculousness, mainly because it was the absolute worst movie imaginable. Now, having said that, if you are an actor, a director, or a movie enthusiast, I highly encourage you to watch this flick for the same entertainment value I received from it; it literally is a parody of itself, which if only it had been intentional, we would consider it genius. Now I'm thinking... I know a number of producers and industry folk. . . Anyone interested in seeing an apocalyptic parody? Perhaps 'If 2012 Happened' or maybe 'Day After Yesterday'?

I will not complain about the story. The story is quite OK compared to other, better movies. There are obviously gaps in a story like this, even in good Hollywood movies. Also, the acting is not very good, but I have seen much worse. But the special effects, which is a big thing in movies like this, looks like they have done in a 3d-game engine.If you like this kind of movie and can ignore really bad special effects, this is just a bad movie. If the special effects is your thing , you will realize the problem the first few minutes where it looks like someone is playing with a flight simulator.
