Aamir is a perfect movie depicting the story of Aamir who currently arrives in India after spending three years in London, studying medicine. He is made to dance with the help of various hints laid down by terrorists with the help of a mobile phone via which terrorist communicate. He cannot contact police or other officials, as his family is taken control of by terrorists. Unfortunately he is made to deliver a red suitcase. Later it is confirmed to him, to place the bag in the bus he is traveling. It is also confirmed to him that bag carries bomb which will explode in 3 minutes. He with a lot of complex mind and in lot of turbulence carries the bag towards a road construction site away from people and gets killed himself but saving others. The movie is perfect as by given circumstances it is totally possible to occur. It's very sad that such situation arise in our system. The man died for his family and innocent people. We are bounded to love our families, if not anything else it is the place where we find the largest amount of comfort. I really had my perfect senses going along with Aamir till end. A movie highly recommended.
Much have been talked about the movie already, but very little about the music. Amit Trivedi has not only composed some of the finest music from Bolly-stable, but even the background score of the movie is so good and adds to the cumulative journey a viewer is taken thru the movie. The frustration, helplessness, anger, are so well spoken through the music, very few movies from Bollywood have been able to attain this level of connection between screenplay and background score. Few songs will remain with me for the longest time. Haara, Ek Lau ... there are other tracks I heard on the album, but didn't hear on the movie like 'Phas gaya'. All these are tracks par excellence.
Just when you think the Indian cinema is repeating its non-sense routine crap all the time, a very refreshing movie pops up to highlight the excellence in bollywood. UTV this time left no stone unturned to deliver isolated brilliance. Actually reminded me of Hollywood's Phone-Booth. Edge of your seat guessing one mans fate. The plot here deals with much broader religious aspect of our society. Apart from being a nostalgic delight for people in mumbai its a lesson of awareness to people all over the world. The choice of lead role was perfect as he didn't try to take any superiority to himself, giving the audience a mixed bag of cinema art. Music, this time, reminds me of certain hand picked movies whose music would ring in your ears even after the movie is over. It really captures and nurtures the essence of the pace of the movie. 'Haara' nd 'Ek Lau' is my best pick. As far as the issue of terrorism mentioned, nothing new about it. In my opinion the movie is a point of view of a single outsider into the dark corners of network in a community, which otherwise seem very routine.Overall, a must have DVD.
The movie really proved to be an "Eye Opener".The places shown really depicts the condition of people living miserably with/without knowing it.Aamir's character of a non-discriminating individual was nicely portrayed. Amazing acting by Rajeev. Man, I liked his acting since "Kahin To Hoga". His role in "Left-Right-Left".The end left me with mixed emotions. There was a bitter feeling about the reporters' Terrorist Coverage's statements. The movie did make an impact. At least for people like me (with Amir's Thinking). It deserves an award. "Piece of work".
