Neil, Will and Simon receive an invite from Jay to join him in Australia whilst on his gap year, who promises them it’s ”the sex capital of the world”. With their lives now rather dull compared to their hedonistic school days and legendary lads holiday, it’s an offer they can’t refuse. Once again, they put growing up temporarily on-hold, and embark on a backpacking holiday of a lifetime in an awful car, inspired by Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Will soon finds himself battling with the lads to do something cultural, whilst they focus their attention on drinking, girls, and annoying fellow travelers.

This is the follow-up to The Inbetweeners Movie. Jay is in Sydney and invites his three friends - Will, Simon and Neil - to join him there. He claims to be a rich playboy DJ at a nightclub and that he lives in a mansion. When his friends arrive, they realise that he actually is a toilet attendant in the nightclub - and lives in a tent in his father's cousin's front garden. The four lads go to Byron Bay in Jay's car, then run out of petrol whilst driving to Birdsville. They go back to Sydney, then go to Vietnam, before returning home. This isn't as good as the first film.

Review: I wasn't a big fan of this movie because I'm not really into this style of comedy. I'm sure that this film will appeal to a certain type of audience but watching 4 teenagers going around Sydney doing silliness, didn't appeal to me. I wasn't a big fan of the first movie but I thought that I would give this movie a chance because of its box office success. This typical English comedy seemed more silly than funny but the chemistry between the 4 teenagers was believable and we'll acted. Personally, I just couldn't get to grips with the jokes and the strange script which went a bit too far in some scenes. On the plus side, you do end up sticking with the movie because you want to see what happens to this bunch of misfits, but the storyline goes from one extreme to the next and I didn't really find it that amusing. Disappointing!Round-Up: If your fans of the series or the first movie, then this movie is for you but I struggled to stay interested. Although every character is completely different from each other, they all seem to do stupid things which anyone in this day and age would find really embarrassing. Anyway, the makers of the film should be pleased because it has had the biggest takings for an opening week ever, in the English comedy genre, so my comments will most probably not go down well with a majority of its audiences. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: $63millionI recommend this movie to people who are into their English comedies about a group of friends who go to Sydney to meet up with there friend so they can have the holiday of a lifetime. 3/10

A squeal that didn't suck and actually was better than the first movie. The story to The Inbetweeners: Movie 2 is basically about Neil, Simon, and Will join Jay on his gap year in Australia. If your not a fan of these sex jokes and these dick jokes or your not a fan of the series, then this is not the movie for you, but if you are then this movie will make you laugh and smile. This movie is more funny and even more gross then the first movie and the TV show. The characters have all there moments to shine in this film and the Jokes were so funny that everybody in the cinema laughed there ass off. P.S "See you later benders".

There seem to be two camps of people: those who loved the 'Inbetweeners' TV series and hate their filmic outings and those who loved the TV series and also enjoyed the films. Basically, I have yet to meet anyone who didn't enjoy the three series (so track them down if you haven't already) and yet the films do tend to divide people.Perhaps both films rely too much on the boys meeting (and therefore interacting) with other characters, instead of concentrating on the banter between the quartet. Plus the story – obviously – has to be stretched out to the full hour and a half length, rather than the 'snappier' twenty-two minute episode length. And, in my opinion, the second film actually surpasses the first in terms of sheer laughs. Yes, it's still not as 'punchy' as the shorter-length episodes, but I found it generally funnier overall than its predecessor.Basically, if you already know what sort of humour you'll be subjected to in 'The Inbetweeners' movies then you should like this. If you don't, you really better check out a TV episode or two before you chance one of their films. The film, like the series, charts the seemingly never-ending exploits of four hormonally-charged teenage boys and their experiences in wooing the opposite gender. And it's filled with crudeness, lewdness and generally scenes that will make you want to be sick in a swimming pool (you'll have to actually watch the film to get that one).Don't expect a great plot. Don't expect anything other than a fun film, packed with adult humour which guys will probably be able to relate to, based on their own experiences as hormonally-charged teenagers where nothing/no one seems to go their way. Yes, it's not quite as sharp as the TV series, but it's still a fun way to send the boys off in style.
