Wow .... My head is still processing the utter mindlessness of the cretin who made this nonsense. I barely got through 20-minutes of it on Netflix before changing movies. What an utter mess. A ton of bad acting and sad directing, alongside horrible casting choices, characterization, script, and plot. Total crude and mindless humor at its dumbest. Completely insulting and shaming the classic series, which was a family-oriented show, and hugely entertaining. Bo and Luke were down-home good 'ole boys---not lust-driven, dimwitted playboys, always provoking brawls. Uncle Jessie was a God-fearing, rule-thumping fatherly patriarch, and Daisy was NOT a bimbo blonde, but an attractive, sexy brunette with real brains behind a pretty face. Roscoe and Enos were the comic relief, serving under the comical deviousness of Boss Hogg. Thank goodness I didn't waste my $ on a movie ticket, at its release. I'd have demanded a refund.

The only reason this movie has a 5/10 rating is because of all the die hard Duke's of Hazard fans who watched the TV show growing up. The fact of the matter is if you have never seen the Dukes of Hazard TV show, or don't have a sentimental love for the show, then this movie is worth a watch. Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott clearly have great chemistry throughout the movie, the plot line isn't boring or hard to follow, and there are definitely some funny moments from start to finish. Jessica Simpson, Willie Nelson, Burt Reynolds, and Kevin Heffernan are some good extras who make the movie more enjoyable as well. Dukes of Hazard isn't the funniest movie you will ever see, but it deserves more than a 5/10 rating. I was shocked when I saw how low the IMDb rating for this movie was until I realized it's because of all the Dukes of Hazard TV show fanatic reviews. I got some good laughs out of this movie and I think it deserves more than 5 stars.

Jefferson Davis 'Boss' Hogg (Burt Reynolds) intends to make a fortune by strip-mining Hazzard Count for its coal, but when moonshiners Bo and Luke Duke (Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville) get wind of his nefarious plan, they decide to throw a spanner in the works, with a little help from Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson), and Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter).I was never really a fan of the TV series of The Dukes of Hazzard, despite hailing from the South (of England, that is), so I'm not going to complain about this big screen adaptation crapping all over my childhood memories. I am, however, going to complain that the film lacks charm, a decent plot, memorable performances and any real sense of fun, director Jay Chandrasekhar merely going through the motions, delivering what he expects fans want to see, but doing so with seemingly little love, imagination or enthusiasm.Knoxville and Scott might get top billing as good ol' boys Bo and Luke, moonshine runners and general troublemakers of Hazzard County, but the real stars of the film are General Lee, their muscle car, which is involved in numerous silly chase scenes in which the vehicle continues to function despite preposterous chassis knackering jumps and crashes, and Jessica Simpson as delectable Daisy Duke, whose bodywork is absolutely stunning and who, I imagine, handles like a dream.

Based on the American television series of the same name, 'The Dukes of Hazzard' is, at best, a passable comedy that's funny in bits. 'The Dukes of Hazzard' Synopsis: Cousins Bo and Luke Duke, with a little help from their cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, egg on the authorities of Hazzard County, Boss Hogg and Sheriff Coltrane.'The Dukes of Hazzard' has a racy first-hour, but a dull second. The comedy as well as the stunts work in the first-hour, but everything comes down in the final hour. Even the climax, for that matter, is far from euphoric. The Screenplay is certainly funny in parts, but loses steam later-on. Jay Chandrasekhar's Direction is standard. Cinematography & Editing are fair.Performance-Wise: Johnny Knoxville & Seann William Scott are entertaining. Jessica Simpson looks gorgeous, but gets no scope. Burt Reynolds is pretty solid as the antagonist. On the whole, 'The Dukes of Hazzard' is passable.
