This movie makes no sense and is a just a cheap emotion grab for the holidays. Stiff acting and weird camera work, let's hope this does not get a remake ever.

Mike is stalked by a stranger, bartender Artie Venzuela. The poor Jules arranges to spend Christmas Eve in the hospital, where he spent the best Christmas of his life when he was a teenager. The lives of some of these characters cross with others along the night.Susan suarandon character rose is losing her mind and is tempting other things until mystery person who is right next door helps her see the ways she can help her mother unkowngly not known who the man was . just three little words, but these are the words that shine out of this movie for me like a beacon bringing the magic of Christmas into my home every year.For Rose to say those words to a complete stranger, to ease their pain and loneliness at such a time when families are all uniting for the holiday's is what Christmas is all about for me.Noel is a heart warming movie which makes you feel sad at times but by the end you are left feeling that everything is going to be OK.Everyone has their cross to bear but for a few stolen moments in time, goodness and kindness reigns supreme and can make so much difference to someones life.Robin Williams plays a wonderful role not dissimilar to his present circumstances which probably makes this movie more poignant to an avid Robin Williams fan as I am.All in all a wonderful Christmas movie not to be missed.

I thought that with Penelope Cruz, Robin Williams, New York and Christmas time, the movie would be a pleasure. Instead, it is a real pain! The director says the script was wonderful and I'm still wondering what he has found! Or maybe Palmatieri was better in acting than in directing.Except Williams, all the actors are dull, even Penelope and above all Miss Sarandon: I'm really sorry but this actress has never made me dream! The stories are particularly crazy: one wants his hands crushed to enjoy Christmas at hospital, the other is the reincarnation of a dead wife, the flat love story of Penelope, the unmoving Alzheimer mother….In conclusion, if you want to destroy your Christmas night, watch this movie!
