Of the Robert Englund Krueger films, this is the most DEADLY serious of the bunch (see what I did there?). Completely ignoring "Freddy's Revenge", it jumps back to the premise of Elm St. children having to pay for the sins of their parents, with a really great mixture of creative deaths & solid storytelling. Langenkamp is still terrible, the dialogue sometimes has trouble finding its footing, & the rules of Freddy are really starting not to make sense…but still, this is a fun one.

While most people consider the original to be the best, I'd have to say that this is my favorite entry in the series. I think it's mostly because it takes places at a hospital and it features all the characters interacting with each other in such a realistic manner. The pacing of this film is great. It starts off with the first two deaths, both of which are quite creative before moving onto the big conflict. I love the idea that these characters all have their unique personalities and their own ways of dealing with dreams. Sadly, most of them still can't do much against Freddy. The special effects are quite nice too. It's kind of weird to see a girl whose main power is cartwheels be the one who seems to be the strongest. Freddy is defeated not by the actual dream warriors, but instead by the man who destroys his skeleton. It probably would have been cooler to see him get taken out by them, but it still makes for a good movie. I think this is the point where Freddy starts making puns. It's too early for this to become a huge personality trait so he doesn't come off as annoying. ***

This film is fun to watch like the death scenes are underrated and creative. Most people say "all the Nightmare on Elm Street sequel sucks" like some but this one is underrated including the second one and New Nightmare. This is a really good movie it deserve a watch.Score: 8.5/10

SUCH A GREAT FILM, I love this film more than the first 2, it's a fantastic film about taking control of your own dreams. These Characters go from being terrified of Freddy to standing up for themselves and attacking that dirty S.O.B! Using their own powers to fight against him, However like always, Freddy finds out what hurts most and uses it against them, lurking one to her death as this girl walks over to the TV and tries to fix it when all of a sudden Freddy pops out and kills her and before the kill he states "Welcome to Prime Time bitch." Before smashing her face into the TV. It's great and I don't want to ruin anything here, so PLEASE go see this film, it's the best in the series and is one to remember. 10/10 GO SEE IT, it's a film I list as a (Must see before you die) Even if you're not a horror fan.
