REC 2 reaches the same heights - maybe even higher - of terrifying as the original. I thought I knew what to expect. But I should've known better. REC was an unexpected, scary-as-hell, yet exhilarating roller- coaster ride, from start to finish. And that REC 2 was just as unexpected - and it was scared the ever-living crap out of me. I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen. I wanted to know what happened after the unsettling ending of REC. So I couldn't keep my eyes closed, even if it could potentially cause a heart attack of some sort in the process of watching. And it was all worth it, from start to finish, then, suddenly, I was taken over by the same question when I finished the original: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!

i made an account just to review this movie. and to all the hardcore horror fans out there that like found footage films like VHS, paranormal activity, grave encounters... this film is for you. It's full of suspense! the first one was amazing but this sequel really made me horrified. I don't usually give low-budget horror movies a try but the cast and crew really gave their all to make a horror movie. I would definitely put this movie on one of the top notch found footage movies like VHS. the storyline just meshes well with the first one and makes it a plausible film to watch. the shooting of first-person makes it feel like your on a roller coaster ride of a horror video game!

Come back to the location of the first movie, add some characters and mix them with the previous history. The result: An amazing history full of horror, zombies, and gore actions.The addition of new characters and the interaction with the first ones makes this movie a good history and a new point of view about the mysterious plague in Barcelona.The death of the SWAT team show us that a lot of bullets and fire guns aren't enough to finish with the horror.I think that REC 2 is better than the first movie, the history is like a ride in a horror roallercoaster.

I was hoping for quite a lot after the first, especially since this was picking up the story just hours after the first {Rec} movie's ending.I was massively disappointed. The plot never delivered & the camera work was very annoying. Why was the building in the dark? Wouldn't the authorities have ensured the SWAT/Research team had electric lights? I found the very forced darkness with torch beams to be a highly irritating feature of this.Having your main characters wearing full body armour with helmets means that often you are left wondering "who the hell IS that???" 'til they spoke a name. The religious angle was possibly better in the Spanish but in English translation it was just plain stupid.Even now I think I may have rated this tripe too heavily with a "4". Don't waste 90 mins of your time on this is my advice.
