Guzaarish (Request )is not a movie. It's a beautiful painting drawn by director Sanjay Laila Bansali (hope I spelt it right). After seeing all his movies, finally i was able to know he is the director of Guzaarish and i was right when reading the end credits. Despite having the topic of Euthanasia (depressing topic), the director didn't make it fall to be melodramatic or tear-jerking. Instead, he made you enjoy every scene which is visually stunning indeed. Concerning the actors, Hrithik Roshan, the protagonist, didn't rely here on his physicality, but his acting abilities only. I think this is when he started to act from his heart, not from his mind, letting himself to act freely as if he is in his own room. He even sang What A Wonderful World with his own voice, not a playback singer like other Indian movies. Aishwariya Rai Bachan is a pleasure to the eye besides performing wise. All the other supporting actors are good too (sorry I don't know their names). What may i complain about is the plot. It's not very tight, and could have been better by trimming some scenes like the accident scene and Omar's story.

when i saw it thought it was original and brilliant in concept, but later realized its a copy of Spanish movie "the sea inside", for which it won Oscar..!!!though the acting is good, the cast seems to have justice to the movie, but its only the 1st concept which deserves true respect and applause.sanjay Leela bhansali, has clearly displayed his talent for direction, execution, but originality is what people crave for, not the presentation of the already presented.we hope that the team comes with better concepts and story, for sake of the audience and film fraternity.

I heard from a lot of people that this movie was not entertaining and boring, but I still went ahead and watched the movie and let me tell you this I DON'T REGRET IT. This is one of the movies that I'll never forget in my life. I mean the acting by Mr. Roshan is speechless. People who say that movies are suppose to be entertaining, well I think movies can also be used as a tool to teach people about what's going on around the world. This movie has really touched my heart. After watching this movie, my respect level for Mr. Roshan has increased. There were some moments which brought tears in my eyes and made me thank god for being able to move on my own and get the things done on my own. People who thought that Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was done after making Saawariya, well this is the movie that shut many people's mouth. Movies can never be judged by the box office success, but the impact that they have on people. And this movie had a huge huge impact on me. I wish I could meet Mr. Roshan in person just so I could congratulate him for the performance in this movie. This movie is for really open minded people,and for those who want a movie that can teach them something or a movie that can touch their heart. I rate this movie 10 out 10. I wish I could give 100 out of 10.

Excellent movie, but generally Good movies are not commercially successful.Indian audience are mostly given to see Masala movies of one side love,double end love ,Triangular love,Group love etc.......oh...tired of seeing stereo type love stories.This movie is dealing about mercy killing.Though I don't approve euthanasia as i don't know the pain of such patient,views may differ from person to person.Our Mahatma himself has recommended mercy killing of a suffering calf. After all i am an ordinary human ,can only write my review about the movie . Forget about the controversy, Now let us go to the review.Honestly telling,so for I know Hrithik and Aishwarya as dancing doll and never believed as a wonderful actor/actress. India is gifted to have such a wonderful young and dynamic actors. why these people have waited so long to give such a wonderful performance .Each one has done their best .Characters like Judge,prosecutor,defense lawyer.servants,villein magician,his son,hero's mother,Aishwaryas husband,Doctor every body needs appreciation. Scenes like Fly sitting on Hrithik Nose,Rain water dripping on his fore head gives lot of message from the Director.Music and Songs express the pain,joy,,sadness,suffering, happiness of the Hero's life. Magical scenes,lighting,camera are out standing and add beauty to the success of the Movie. Tradition ,culture,lifestyle,Architecture of Goa is well exhibited. Aishwarya proved her sound knowledge in Music,by acting like playing the drums while dancing in a song.If this movie would have been produced by an American the movie will score maximum Oscar.Good job done by entire team .
